The Scouts, Guides and volunteers showed inspiring efforts at our annual engineering team challenge! We had 25 teams and over 100 young people building electric cars to navigate a course. Congratulations to Haxby Harriers for being crowned the overall winner. The best-looking vehicle was from Dringhouses #1. The best Design Specification was from Holgate Severus Super Structures. Finally, the best Teamwork was displayed by Fulford Fantasisers, with Copmanthorpe Crazy Guides and York Mosque Scouts tied for second.
University of York students planned and hosted this event with support from the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Special prizes were also sponsored by Ring Automotive, Leeds. Big thank you to everyone involved who helped run this event!
