I am very excited to introduce the North Yorkshire Scout Network The Ramblers’ Challenge (and yes there’s a badge)! This challenge is open to all Scout Network members (aged 18-25) across North Yorkshire and the NE Scout region.
The challenge is to either walk, run, sail or row for a total of 200 miles (or 400 miles by bicycle or skateboard) over a consecutive four-month period (e.g. September to December or November to February etc). That works out at either 50 or 100 miles every month and members can decide when they want to start the challenge.
The Ramblers’ Challenge is based on one of the top awards to be earned for Rover Scouts in early Scouting. It was earned by those willing to push themselves beyond their comfort zones by travelling further than they ever had before.
Scout Network members who wish to take on this challenge will first need to register their intention to complete this challenge.
Register here for The Ramblers’ Challenge.
