Welcome to Ebor District Scouts!

York Ebor District lies within the Scout County of North Yorkshire and covers approximately half of the city of York. We stretch from Poppleton in the west, past Bishopthorpe in the south and on to Dunnington in the east. Scouting has existed in this area since 1909 and today, Ebor District boasts almost 1,500 members in 19 Beaver Scout Colonies, 20 Cub Scout Packs, 15 Scout Troops, 4 Explorer Scout Units and 1 Young Leader Unit.

We are a large and busy Scout District offering the young people of south York the opportunity to make friends, have fun and challenge themselves. To develop essential life skills, participate in a range of exciting activities and embark on fantastic adventures together. All this is made possible by a fantastic team of hard-working, dedicated adult volunteers who give their time in a range of roles including Section Leaders, Assistant Leaders and Trainers. So whether you are a parent looking to enrol your child in one of the Scout sections, a young person looking for new experiences or an adult wanting to volunteer your services, Ebor District Scouts welcomes you!
